Reflecting on the 10th Asia-Pacific Gastroesophageal Cancer Congress & 15th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Singapore Gastric Cancer Consortium 10th – 12th July 2024
I was honored to be invited as a faculty member for the 10th Asia-Pacific Gastroesophageal Cancer Congress and the 15th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Singapore Gastric Cancer Consortium. This prestigious conference showcased the latest advancements in various areas, including basic science, endoscopic and surgical treatments, clinical trials, and therapeutics.
The conference covered key topics such as the microbiome, advances in epigenomics, applications of artificial intelligence (AI), immunotherapy, novel therapies, conversion surgery, peritoneal metastasis, and innovations in gastroesophageal cancer surgery.
One of the highlights was the opportunity to meet my mentor from Korea, Prof. Kim Hyung Ho, a leading gastric cancer surgeon. This was our first meeting since the COVID lockdown, making it a particularly special and memorable occasion.
